About
Us
We are mainly a retail tea shop, located on Stratford Rd.
in the Stratford Place Plaza. We opened our shop in October
of 2005, with a modest line of tea wares including Royal
Patrician, Lomonosov, and Heritage collections, some food
items and with a nice selection of over 300 teas. Since
then we have expanded our tea wares, and our teas on a regular
basis, always looking for what we feel are some of the best
items we can find at a good price. As we grow we intend
to expand into the higher quality tea wares and some of
the best teas we can find. We now offer over 500 varieties
of tea, including herbals, rooibos, Mate's, and fruit teas.
We deal primarily in loose leaf teas, but we also carry
some teabags. You can get a cup of tea to go by selecting
any of the, over 400 jars, of loose leaf teas and we will
brew a cup for you. Or you can sit and relax in our media
section or at any of the tables in our shop. We offer free
wireless internet, and a small selection of scones, cookies,
and chocolates, to enjoy with your cup of tea. Our teas
are served in a quality paper cup, as we do not have a kitchen
and can not at this time use tea cups. Some of our customers
bring their own cup or leave their cup at our shop so they
can enjoy their tea in a china cup of their choice. We offer
tea courses to our customers after hours. These are offered
starting in October and ending in April, on Tuesday nights
from 6:30 to 8:30 pm to the general public. As long as we
have at least 4 people signed up for the class, and we ask
you sign up by the Saturday before. Or if you would like
a private class for you and your friends we can schedule
a night that will work best for you. The cost of the class
is $15 per person. During the class we will show you how
to brew all 5 of the different categories of tea, using
our best tea in each category. You will get to sample these
teas plus take 5 samples of tea home with you. You will
also receive a yixing clay cup to sample with that is yours
to take home. We will also watch a video which will once
again go through the brewing process of the different teas
plus show you how tea is grown and processed. Giving you
a really good understanding of how tea gets from the plant
to your cup. We hope you get the chance to stop in and see
our store and try our teas. And if you are only able to
shop our store online we hope you have enjoyed our teas
and we would love to hear from you. So email us anytime
or leave a review on the site for us and others to see.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share our love
of tea with you.
